The private house in a former industrial site in the center of Leiden, the Netherlands, represented by Pasel.Kuenzel designed. He developed two important needs of the Town Hall to be solved: light and space.
The house is divided into two parts, is easily recognizable because of the differences in the materials used in the facade. The first, larger, this section contains a bedroom and a living room and offers a very high window that fills the interior with natural sunlight. The second part is long and narrow and contains service areas: bathroom, kitchen, utility room and stairs. The roof is not flat but slightly inclined to allow more light into the bedroom and to see the man to the stars, while from the perspective of the protected adjacent roof garden and the people on the street.
