Houses are taking rural style with this lake cabin was designed by Seattle architect Nils Finne. located on Lake Superior in Eagle Harbor, north of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Set in three-hectares of forest property, this seaside retreat features a magnificent 40-ft. walls of glass framing the lake view. 2000-sq .- ft. cabin cantilevers over the water, creating a feeling in nature, not just look from the inside out. Pole open ceiling cottage chic, complete with warm woods that add to the natural charm of the house. The cabin is designed with two main volumes – a concept of open space, dining room, kitchen, and a two bedroom with the children’s bedroom on the ground floor and the elderly gentleman in the attic. To resolve this house with the touch of a true custom, unique architect designed dining table, coffee table and cupboards using environmentally friendly, FSC-certified “plyboo” – a combination of bamboo plywood.
