Sako architects have challenged the traditional Chinese architecture by constructing a complex of energy-efficient housing rotated 45 degrees to the north-south for increased natural lighting. Traditionally, residential buildings in southern China and north-facing, but the unique position of letting bumps in the Beijing project is to store large amounts of energy.
