Sako architects have challenged the traditional Chinese architecture by constructing a complex of energy-efficient housing rotated 45 degrees to the north-south for increased natural lighting. Traditionally, residential buildings in southern China and north-facing, but the unique position of letting bumps in the Beijing project is to store large amounts of energy. The project includes four residential buildings, each of which is 80 meters. Each set of two floors as a unit and each unit shifted two feet horizontally. Set-back area can then be used as a terrace.
